Stones

hese images are part of a project started in the fall of 2004. I was searching for a unique view of the Maine landscape and my own personal style. I had already begun to incorporate some abstraction

into my work and  decided to incorporate that theme to a greater extent. I found myself getting closer and seeing things that had previously escaped my eye. The images are 16 x 20 silver gelatin prints toned in selenium. The paper/developer combination renders a slightly cool neutral tone reinforced but not significantly changed by the selenium.
